How to keep fit while keeping busy

It’s a fast-paced world and it can be hard to keep up sometimes. When you have tight schedules and deadlines, exercising or leading a healthy lifestyle is probably not a priority on your list of things to do, but it should be. Exercise is important to keep your mind and body active, and you can find ways to sneak in a few minutes of exercise into your daily routine. Read on to find out how you can keep fit even with a busy schedule.

1.Allot time for a quick workout

If you feel like you don’t have time to exercise because of how busy your day is, you can always schedule a quick workout session before work. A short 30 minute workout in the morning can do wonders - it’ll put you in a better mood, and keep you fresh and alert for the rest of your day. If you’re not an early bird, you can also workout in the evening. Allocating a little time for exercise ensures that you stay happy and healthy (and lets you eat a piece of that tempting brownie your colleague brought in to work guilt-free).

2.Walk or cycle to work

If you have the fortune of staying close to where your office is located, you could opt to walk or cycle to work. Walking or cycling to work ensures that you get a few minutes of cardio in before you start your day to keep you fit, fresh, and more alert. You’re also helping the environment by reducing your carbon footprint( and losing calories at the same time. It’s a win-win!).

3.Stretch or take a walk during breaks

In addition to allotting time for exercise outside of work, you can also do a few exercises during your work hours to keep your body moving. If your job requires you to sit in front of a desk all day, make sure you take little breaks in between to stretch your muscles and keep your body active. Go for a little walk around the office when you’re on a break or on a call, and that can go a long way in keeping you fit and healthy.

4.Eat right

Exercise isn’t the only aspect to staying fit - it also includes eating right. When you have a tight schedule, it can be hard to give importance to what you’re eating. It’s probably easier to order in fast food, but all that grease isn’t good for you - it can actually slow you down. Eating a well balanced meal, and eating it on time will keep you active and help you focus on the work at hand.

So, no more excuses. Having a packed work routine does not mean that you can’t prioritise fitness. Follow these tips so that your busy schedule does not get in the way of your Slice of Health (and slice of cake too). Also have a look at Health Insurance policy provided by Chola MS.
