  • Initial Waiting Period - 30 days for all illness (not applicable on renewal and for accidents)
  • Two Year Exclusion - Expenses incurred on treatment of following diseases within the first 2 years from the commencement of the Policy will not be admissible: Congenital Internal Anomaly, Varicose veins and Varicose Ulcers, Rheumatism and arthritis of any kind, Treatment of diseases on ears/ tonsils /adenoids /paranasal sinuses / Deviated Nasal Septum, Stones in the Urinary and Biliary systems, Gastric or Duodenal Ulcer, Any type of benign Cyst/ Nodules/ Polpys/ Tumours/ Breast Lumps, Intervertebral Disc Prolapse, and Degenerative Disc / vertebral Disorders, Cataract, Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy, Myomectomy, Hysterectomy unless because of malignancy, Dilatation and curettage (D&C), Anal Fistula, Fissure and Piles, All types of Hernia, Hydrocele, Chronic Renal Failure, Joint replacement Surgery unless because of accident.
Important Exclusions:
  • War or any act of war, invasion, acts of foreign enemies, hostilities whether are be declared or not, civil war, revolution, insurrection, mutiny, martial law
  • Any Insured Person committing or attempting to commit a breach of law with criminal intent or intentional self-injury or attempted suicide whether sane or insane
  • Vaccination or inoculation unless forming a part of post-animal bite treatment

  • Any Critical Illness arising due to any pre-existing disease

Super Topup

Chola Super Topup Insurance provides cover for the following
  • Inpatient Hospitalisation charges incurred towards
  • Room and Boarding
  • ICU Charges
  • Doctor's Fees
  • Nursing Charges
  • Surgery, anaesthesia and oxygen charges
  • Organ Donor Expenses
  • Expenses incurred towards Emergency Ambulance
  • Hospitalisation of less than 24 hours for 141 day care procedures listed in the policy
  • Domiciliary Hospitalisation Expenses
  • Coverage for Non-Allopathic Treatments: Inpatient Hospitalisation Coverage for AYUSH Treatments
  • Pre-Hospitalisation Expenses: Related medical expenses incurred upto 60 days prior to date of admission under Supreme Plan
  • Post-Hospitalisation Expenses: Related medical expenses incurred upto 90 days from date of discharge under Supreme Plan
Time bound Exclusions:
  • Day one Coverage for Accidents. However, this policy is subject to a waiting period of 30 days for claims due to illness.

  • Expenses arising from HIV or AIDS and related conditions

Hospital Cash Healthline

  • Hospital Daily Cash Benefit
  • Double Benefit in case of ICU Hospitalisation
  • Convalescence Benefit – Lumpsum benefit after 20 continuous days of hospitalisation
  • Family Discount – 5% discount for covering 2 members and 10% discount for covering more than 2 members in the same policy.
Main Exclusions

  • Benefits will not be available for any pre-existing condition(s), until 48 consecutive months of continuous coverage have elapsed, since inception of the first policy with this insurer.
  • Any illness diagnosed or diagnosable within 30 days of the effective date of the policy period if this is the first individual Hospital Cash benefit policy with Chola MS. If you renew the hospital cash benefit policy with the Chola MS, this waiting period of 30 days is however is not applicable. In case of change of plan on renewal, this exclusion will apply in relation to the amount by which the daily benefit limit has been increased due to change of plan.

Our aim is to ensure that your experience is as smooth as possible with our customised health insurance policies..

Cashless procedures for planned admission
  • The insured should approach the hospital 48 hours in advance and provide his/her policy details/e-cards along with govt. issued photo ID card like Driver’s License/Aadhaar to TPA/Insurance desk.
  • The hospital validates the claim and sends the pre-authorization request to Chola MS.
  • Chola MS shall review, confirm and approve the claim as per policy terms and conditions.
  • The hospital and the insured will be intimated in case of any additional information that is required.
  • Settlement of the claim shall be done by Chola MS to the hospital.
Cashless procedures for Emergency admission
  • In case of emergency hospitalization, contact any of our Network Hospitals within 48 hours of hospitalization along with his/her policy details/e-cards along with govt. Issued photo ID card like Driver’s License/Aadhaar.

Reimbursement claim procedure:
  • In case of hospitalization, notify us within 48 hours of admission at our Network or non-Network Hospital.
  • Pay directly at the hospital after getting admitted.
  • Submit the claim with all the relevant documents and claim form.
  • Chola MS shall review, confirm and approve the claim as per policy terms and conditions.
  • Settlement of the claim shall be done by Chola MS to the insured.
